Oh yes, it’s true, The British Prime Minister offered a ministerial position to the owner of the Daily Mail. Not only that, having helped the PM gain power this media magnate was elevated to the peerage.
Obviously this isn’t Cameron and Viscount Rothmere. If it was this isn’t the first place you’d hear about it.
It’s Lloyd George and Lord Northcliffe and notably the media didn’t wet itself about it for more than a year.
